Timber retaining wall
We have been building these log retaining walls for over twenty five years and have confidence in their effectiveness. Log retaining walls are a very good alternative to brick or concrete block walls, especially within the garden and rural settings.
All bank work has shingle placed behind the wall which effectively enables drainage. We can offer a variation of log sizes or wall heights and all timbers are pressure treated for long life.

compared to the log wall above or the plain sleeper wall then this an unusual alternative landscape timber system, ideal for creating retaining walls and raised flower beds.
We can make & supply these timbers in lengths up to eight feet long.
Three specifications are available.
2.35 x 140mm x 90mm grooved on 90mm face.
2.35 x 140mm x 90mm grooved on 140mm face.
2.35 x 140mm x 90mm grooved all round.

This timber log retaining wall retains a steep bank which has been cut away to accommodate steps. The pressure treated timbers are approx 8" dia and the upright posts are concreted beneath ground approx 42".
