Half round post and rail fencing is made with sawn, pressure treated softwood.
Posts can be up to 6" dia, full or half round, spaced 6ft apart. Up to four half round rails can be put onto this fence, although, three would be a better choice. The problem using full round posts with this fence is the lack of rail to post contact to ensure adequate nailing although this problem doesn't occur when using half round posts.
We erect this fence using a single top rail with equestrian netting or stock fence netting which is used for horses and livestock. We often effectively install the equestrian netting fence to dog-proof property. .
