This traditional Cleft pale Chestnut fence has been a winner for many decades. A nice rustic fence ideal for fencing-in the dogs, temporary boundaries or as a pleasing permanent fence.

Traditionally, the palings are bark peeled , cleft (split) with the grain for extra strength and pointed at one end. Chestnut, like oak is a hard wood and not treated.
