This traditional Cleft pale Chestnut fence has been a winner for many decades. A nice rustic fence ideal for fencing-in the dogs, temporary boundaries or as a pleasing permanent fence.
Traditionally, the palings are bark peeled , cleft (split) with the grain for extra strength and pointed at one end. Chestnut, like oak is a hard wood and not treated.

This cleft chestnut is assembled with best galvanized 14 gauge wire, 4 strands per row. Paling spacing approx 75mm.
We install cleft chestnut paling fencing on pressure treated agricultural round posts or sawn, treated timber posts.
Heights available.
0.9m, 1.1m with two or three wire rows. 9.1m rolls.
1.2m, 1.4m, 1.5m, 1.8m with three wire rows. 4.55m rolls.
