These gates are made from high grade, close-grained redwood with an option of quality waterproofing stain colours. All redwood gates are finished with a minimum of two coats of waterproofing stain before they are installed especially the unseen parts of the boards and framework before the boards are put on. These gates offer exceptional value compared to many other gates on the market.

Our gates are traditionally hand made using attention to detail. All the timber is planed and sanded and the joints are morticed and tenoned and oak pegged to ensure a rigid strong frame. Importantly, the unseen parts of the boards and frame are waterproofed and two or three coats of waterproofing stain (a choice of colours) is applied before installation. Usually, extra coats of stain applied to the gate enrich the colour and grain of the wood especially when a lighter stain is applied.
